MEET ALFIE...
A local shelter reached out to us to help Alfie. He had been adopted from the shelter as an 8 week old puppy in February - and was returned to the shelter in August with ONE WORKING LEG! Alfie had a fractured front leg and complete paralysis in his back legs.
Alfie's front leg has healed and he is up walking. Alfie may have permanent nerve damage that causes incontinence issues, we use a belly band and he is very tolerant. He is easy to clean up after. We are hoping someone will give him a chance at being part of a loving family despite his bathroom challenges. Alfie is just shy of a year old, and is a miniature poodle so he will require regular grooming.
He has an exceptional personality. He loves life and everyone in it! He enjoys playing with his canine friends and even tolerates the cat! You cannot help but fall in love with him.
In the meantime, he loves his new friends in the Regal Beagle House, he is enjoying being "up on all 4's" again, and puts a smile on the staff faces everyday.
