Bubba Louie or "Louie" for short, is a 3-year-old, hound mix that came to us from a shelter partner in West Virginia.
Louie arrived with lameness on his right front leg. After a visit to our orthopedic veterinarian and the neurologist it was determined that there were no breaks or fractures, but he could have damaged nerves in his caudal brachial plexus, some probably healed, but others may not have. He is in no pain or discomfort, so the decision was made to leave it alone. He runs, jumps, and does everything your average dog can do.
Louie would do best in a home with children 10 years and older, and he would prefer to be the only dog. He does fine with cats. Louie walks well on leash but can be reactive to dogs. Dog parks and busy dog populated areas will not be for him! His ideal retirement home will be a quiet one with his human and preferable a couch or two to rest on.
