Chief

Meet Chief, a resilient 3-year-old, 40-pound Lab mix with a heart as big as his courage. Chief's spirit remains unbroken despite being born blind and hearing impaired. This brave boy was found after surviving alone for weeks, possibly even a month, in a vast 4,000-acre state park in West Virginia. His story of survival is nothing short of miraculous, demonstrating his incredible willpower and determination.

Chief thrives on routine and enjoys the comfort of a  quiet, less stimulating environment. He may do best as an only dog or with a calm, low-key adult or senior canine companion. His crate & house trained, quiet nature, make him a delightful and manageable addition to any home.

In the yard, Chief is a sight to behold. With his slight tail curl and signature prance, he joyfully explores his surroundings, tail up and spirit high. His prancing is a testament to his happiness and contentment, a joy to witness for anyone who spends time with him.

Chief is a beautiful mix of independence, curiosity, and bravery. He's funny, quiet, and always ready to explore his world in his own unique way. With his vaccinations up to date and being neutered, Chief is ready for his forever home.

Chief is your perfect match if you seek a special companion who embodies resilience and love. He's waiting for a family to call his own, to share his prancing joy and quiet strength.

Chief would love to have a family of his own! Will you be the one to give him the loving home he deserves?
