Fish

Meet Fish!

Fish is a 7-year-old, German Shorthair Pointer mix that came to us from a shelter partner in North Carolina. He has an abnormal gait due to previously ingesting toxic amounts of salt. His disability does not slow him down or cause any other issues. Fish loves to play as well as cuddle on the couch. He is currently 65 pounds and in a foster home so we can learn more about him and what his best home looks like.

He likes to play with other dogs but due to his larger size and unknown past, he needs to be supervised. We aren’t sure at this point if he should be placed in a home with another dog or if he would do best being the only dog in a household. He has not been exposed to cats. He knows sit and is crate trained and house broken. He has no problem resting in his crate and is very food motivated. He is learning some other cues and would be a great companion dog. He loves to please his people and simply wants to be around them.
Please share Fish so we can find his match!
