Meet Indy!
Indy is a 6-month-old pup who endured some kind of trauma in South Carolina and ended up in an overburdened very busy shelter.
Indy suffered a broken jaw, making it impossible for her to open her mouth. Her euthanasia date was set for Wednesday (1/29/25) but thankfully we were able to step in and the shelter was able to arrange transport to North Carolina, where Mike met her and brought her to safety at PWD.
Indy is now (1/31/25) undergoing surgery with a skilled Dentist to repair her jaw and teeth. This is a complex case requiring immediate care, and we are asking for your support to help cover her medical expenses. The Dentist is hoping she will only require one surgery to fix her jaw. Only time will tell though. We should know in a month if a second surgery is necessary. The estimate for this first (and hopefully only) surgery is $4000-$5000.
She is a fun little puppy. We are looking forward to watching her "eat" food and play with toys.
Any donations, shares, or support will make a world of difference in giving Indy the second chance she deserves.
