Khloe - Adoption Pending

Meet Khloe, an 8 lb Yorkie mix.

Khloe was brought into the Philadelphia shelter as a severe neglect case.
She has very old bilateral Achillies tendon tears, most likely secondary to severe matting causing strangulation wounds above her hocks. Khloe received NO vet care, the pain this little one endured for the first part of her life is unfathomable. That chapter is now behind her and she is ready for her best chapter yet!
Our orthopedic team has examined her, and they believe fixing her legs now would be a truly heroic effort. She is NOT in any pain now and her newly formed legs have not slowed her down.
We all love her! She definitely has a positive attitude ❤️

Her floppy feet don’t stop her from wanting to play and with the assistance of a wheelchair (as needed), she can let loose and exert some of that playful energy.
