MAVI

Mavi is a 2-year-old, 30 pound, hound/terrier mix. Mavi's story is truly remarkable. She was a stray for many months in rural South Carolina, people were trying the best to capture her and bring her to safety to no avail. Finally, she landed in a very kind persons shed in their backyard. They were able to capture her and brought her to their local shelter. Unfortunately, she sustained 2 injured legs, on the same side of her body. After a consultation with our orthopedic team , they determined that her injuries were old and had already healed, and did not recommend surgical repair.

Mavi is doing great and has adapted to healed injuries and is in no pain. Mavi has come a long way with us and now loves her new life inside. She has discovered all the all the comforts of home now, no more living outside for Mavi!

Mavi loves other dogs, but not so much cats. She does not do well on lead so a fenced in area in required. (Possibly with patience and time she could get used to leach walking.) Mavi has a very independent spirit and will need a patient adopter.
