Pearl-healing underway

MEET PEARL...

Pearl is a 5-year-old (estimated age) sweet, neglected lemon hound who was found as a stray. We pulled Pearl the day she was scheduled to be put to sleep at a public shelter. We are so happy all the stars were aligned for this sweet girl, and her life was spared, and she is now safe with us. Pearl shows us daily that she is appreciative of this second chance at life! Once cleared of kennel cough and anything contagious, she moved into our Reagle Beagle house where she lives with 4 other dogs and a resident cat. She is one happy camper! Each day, she starts coming out of her shell more and more. She enjoys the company of the other animals, and is starting to play daily with all her new pals, even the cat, who is not always as thrilled to play.

As you can tell from her pictures, she has suffered from years of neglect from living outside. After a few weeks of medications, good food, and regular medicated baths, we have already seen some improvement in her skin & even some hair re-growth. Pearl will have her beautiful hound coat back in no time! She will be with as for a while as we navigate and heal her heartworm disease and skin issues.
