Hilda

A new chapter began for Hilda a senior disabled German Shepherd (unable to use her back legs) whose life had been hanging in the balance. The shelter manager made it clear: without us, this sweet girl had no chance.

When we met her, we couldn’t turn our backs. She was scared, shaking, thinking what is next for me. Her spirit was broken, but we saw a little spark in her, and knew we had to get her out to see her real personality.
February 8, 2025 was her escape day! Good bye, to the concrete walls that surrounded her for the past month.
Now, she’s in our care and safe, but the journey is far from over.

We need your help to ensure she receives the medical attention she desperately requires and her ongoing daily needs. She’ll need a specialist to determine the best course of action for her diagnosis and treatment, and of course routine vet care too .
Despite all she’s been through, she has shown nothing but grace and gratitude. We think she has figured out she is in safe and compassionate hands.

This is a huge undertaking for our small staff, but she deserved a chance!
